My name is Yannick Desmet, founder of YD binnenhuis.

Holder of a carpenter's diploma at the Don Bosco Institute in Halle, I started working with experienced carpenters to learn all facets of the trade, including varying tasks from taking measurements at the customer's premises to cleaning the construction site. This experience aroused my enthusiasm for the realization of global projects.

A few years later, I had the opportunity to represent Hikoki, more specifically woodworking machines for carpentry. Direct contact with the client taught me to listen to specific needs in order to fully understand them and translate them into the most suitable solution. At the same time, my knowledge of the market increased thanks to the close relationships with independent companies that need specific applications for complex situations.

At Lamello, I learned that these solutions also have an aesthetic advantage. Specialised machines make it possible to create unique connections between panels for a robust and homogeneous result.

In practice, a carpenter is required to respect the limitations which characterise certain spaces and which require professional equipment. It is equally important to understand that wood is a living material. It is a natural and sustainable product that creates harmony in every interior project.
